Born and raised townie Alisha North never ever thought she would become a farmer. However, after meeting her now husband at 15 she began milking on the weekends so they could hang out. She loved milking and being on the farm with him so when she left school the following year she began working full time with Steve. At 17 years old they took on their first contract milking job running 240 cows on their own.
The two married at 18 and wanted to start a family as soon as they could. So they moved back to the family farm. They tried their hand at lower order share milking and began their family. At 24, Alisha decided she wanted to become an AI technician so she trained with LIC. She has found no other job as rewarding as helping other farmers reach their reproduction goals. "Being out and about meeting people is what I love the most about being a AI technician."
