Born and bred in the South Wairarapa, Jane Warren's family is fully committed to sheep and beef farming. They have been breeding Romney’s for over a century, owning and running Turanganui Romney Stud in the South Wairarapa. After finishing secondary school at St Matthew’s Collegiate, Jane completed a bachelor of AgriCommerce majoring in Food Marketing and Retailing, with the ambition of understanding the true value of New Zealand’s agricultural produce. Having the opportunity as a Beef and Lamb NZ undergraduate scholar has only enhanced her desire to look towards the future of the agricultural industry.

After completing her degree, Jane worked for AgriPeople, a Rural Recruitment Company and Staff Management company based in Taranaki/Manawatu, where she gained exposure in human resource management. Jane now works for Moore Stephens Markhams in the Wairarapa as an Accounting Technician and spends her time outside of work rearing calves and helping on their 30ha lease block. "The agricultural industry is going through numerous changes at the moment, many influenced by new technologies and/or changes in regulations, my personal goal is to play a part in these changes."

How exciting Jane- you're going to be a part of the next generation of agricultural in New Zealand. Who knows what we can achieve!
